Wireframes Sketches

Communication Model: Progress so far

This are the first somewhat refined iterations for the digital and the constructed specimens of the project. Even though some of the artifacts were crude, they helped us to clarify into what we wanted the concept to be.

This is the most recent stage, with the added labels and more refined objects. We also managed to simplify the way the user interacts with it by using velcro, so people can move them easier and create their own messages. The title is still pending since we firs wanted to present what we have planned for it to our teachers. We don't want the title to be dull, since our concept has some range of interactivity we were thinking on making the title something that catches the eye and invites the user to interact with the model.

BikeWalk KC - Final

Audience:
  • Bikers
  • People looking for activities that allow them to involve with the community
  • People that are under stress and are looking for an activity to relief their concerns
  • Anyone, the phrase allows a generalized retrospective from any viewer where they can ponder over the what it means for them.
Trope: Pun/Synecdoche
They way the word grip is related to the part of the bike. In this case, it is also creating a relationship between that object and the idea of getting a hold on something, taking controls over a particular situation. I believe this also has a pinch of Synecdoche because of the visual elements in the background which in a way are a representation of a whole, a set of solutions, a group of people, diverse professions or personalities. By doing this it allows the viewer to integrate themselves as a part of this whole.

Testimony from Jorge Henaine

Jorge is a Industrial Designer who oftentimes likes to go for a bike ride to clear his mind and to stay healthy.

His response:

"It makes me want to grab a grip, which kinda encourages and reminds me to ride my bike. The colors are really energetic and and invite me to be active. This might be me thinking as a person who only cares about money, but... I would think that putting a girl on a bikini would attract more people l0l, or maybe an Instagram-ish image with a caption. But conceptually even though your design is abstract I think you translate your message quite well.
