Train, Train - California Zephyr

Quantitative:

In this design I focused in the layout and dynamics of the bodies of copy in order to create interest. Another thing I focused in was trying to pack a generous amount of information in the composition and make it easy to comprehend. I wanted it to have structure but at the same time to allow the viewer to be visually engaged with it. The gradient in the background works as a qualitative element that makes the design more attractive without overpowering the rest of the content.

Qualitative:

The design relies a lot in the graphic elements which are simplified representations of one of the scenic highlights of the trip; The Rocky Mountains. With the color scheme I wanted to communicate comfort, serenity and peace. The sharp style of the mountains creates a relationship with contemporary trends and art. I also tried to communicate movement and fun through the layout of the typography and the yellow-ish  wavy line at the center of the poster which also serves as a connection between the end and the start of the trip.
